As a specialist Family Violence agency, we hold an exemption to the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 and female applicants need only apply.

In accordance with the Royal Commission into Family Violence, Recommendation 209, our specialist Family Violence roles have a mandatory minimum qualification of a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent discipline. If any of our roles require applicants to meet Recommendation 209 we will include this in the job ad. For more information on Recommendation 209 go to the Victorian Government’s policy page.

All offers of employment are subject to the Emerge Safety Screening process, including a Working with Children Check and Police Records Check. Any person issued with a negative notice on their Working with Children Check will not be eligible for employment with Emerge.
