New Emerge Board
August 29, 2019
To all the staff, supporters and volunteers of Emerge,
It is with great pleasure that I can announce that as of 27th August 2019, Emerge Women & Children’s Support Network will be governed by a new Board.
Each of the new Board members come to Emerge with a breadth of skills and knowledge, which we believe will help Emerge to continue to grow from strength to strength in the coming years. We were delighted to be welcomed by so many members of the Emerge team, and the passion and expertise was evident during our conversations.
This is an important time for Emerge with significant change on the horizon. As a Board, we understand that the focus at the moment is to open the doors of the new high security refuge so that our services can be offered seamlessly to women and children affected by family violence.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank the previous Board for providing such a thorough handover to us, with special mention to Corey Hale and Suzanne Tripodi. Together, the outgoing Board have dedicated many years of service to the organisation and have contributed to the growth and future directions. The transition has placed the new Board in a very strong position to be able to continue their legacy and face the challenges that lie ahead.
The future of Emerge is bright, and the Board feels very privileged to be a part of the organisation at this very exciting time.
