Thank you to our supporters

There is little doubt that Emerge’s supporters are among the most generous, according to Paula Westhead, Executive Officer.
“We thank everyone who donated, everyone who collected, wrapped, took presents to families, or even spread the word,” Paula said.
Community support is growing for the annual festive appeal. Emerge has an ever-increasing number of community groups, community organisations, businesses and individuals who support the organisation in so many ways.
“We asked the community to focus on gifts for children and their mums, including vouchers, and they responded. Every little bit helps,” Paula said
Through donations from local businesses, local philanthropic supporters and partnerships with larger not for profit organisations, over 100 gift bags were made up and distributed to women and children.
The presents were handed out at the three parties held for women and their children in the festive season.
“The smiles on everyone’s faces had to be seen to be believed,” Paula said.
“We have been overwhelmed by everyone’s care and big-heartedness,” she said.
Donors included: Next Steps, with new toys for children and bedding; Bayside Community Emergency Relief, gift cards and food; Impact, gift bags and cash; Brighton Soroptimists, cash; and Glow Beauty, beauty gift bags.
