All RAVved up thanks to your generosity

After one of our most successful end of tax year appeals, Emerge has been able to buy a Toyota RAV 4.

A generous donation from Marcopolo Property, our corporate supporter, together with two anonymous donations enabled Executive Officer Paula Westhead to place the order.

“To say we are thrilled and overwhelmed by the donations is an understatement,” Paula said.

“This new car replaces one which was no longer fit for purpose, and will be put to extremely good use.”

Emerge desperately needed the new car to help families move from refuge into their new homes, deliver food and other essential items to families living in crises homes, and to take women and children to therapy sessions, the law courts, doctors and other services which they otherwise would find it hard to reach.

Paula said the ongoing support from MarcoPolo Property was welcomed.

“The company certainly lives up to its name which is a celebration of design philosophies from the East and West. The East cares deeply about the human connection while the West brings forth  the qualities of superior construction, innovative technology and practical living,” she said.

Other donations have helped to purchase food vouchers, toys and other essential items for families living in the refuge and crisis homes.
